Frozen Waterfall - Looking through from the back

La Salle Canyon Falls in Winter - Frozen Waterfall at Starved Rock State Park in Illinois. The cold Midwest winters freeze the waterfalls in the park creating a magnificent display of ice and icicles. Water can be heard dripping through the ice. Starved Rock State Park is known for its multiple canyons and waterfalls which are unlike the flat midwest. The canyons and waterfalls are all close to each other. Being less that than two hours from Chicago, the park is popular place for hiking.
