Grass Lake in the Sierra Nevada Mountains

High in the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada mountains near North Lake in Inyo County California is a hiking trail that leads to Grass Lake (pictured) and then on a steep climb up to Lower and Upper Lamarck Lakes above the tree line. It is a good hike that leads to amazing views and an area that is very peaceful and beautiful. Grass Lake is very tranquil and the pure water creates allows for good reflections of nearby mountain peaks. The lake is fed by water from Lower Lamarck Lake that makes a rapid decent into the valley. Mount Lamarch is in the distance and rises to an altitude of 13,356 feet.
