Mount Ashland located in southern Oregon and is the highest peak in the iskiyou Mountains. The mountain is part of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, which encompasses most of the Siskiyou Mountains. The Oregon-California border is three miles (5 km) south of the mountain and the Pacific Crest Trail trails the south side of the mountain. On top of the mountain sits a Doppler Radar Dome for Meteorological Observations.
